Ashley Dalton, Labour’s candidate for Rochford and Southend East at the next general election, has spoken out against the recent rise in crime in the area.
Violent crime rates have risen over the past few months with a particular increase in knife crime. Ashley has laid blame for the rise in crime with the Tories who have repeatedly cut our public services.
Speaking about the recent spate of crime, Ashley said:
The lack of police presence in Rochford & Southend East is noticeable and residents’ fears are being belittled. The Tories are showing no leadership on the issue, so I will. Local people are being left feeling vulnerable and ignored. They deserve better.
